# IFS Online Circle
![[Integrated]]
https://ifs-institute.com/online-learning
A six-month program offered by the IFS Institute which teaches the basics of [[⭐️ Internal Family Systems]]. It includes dozens hours of video instruction, live Q&As, and backlogged material starting from 2016. Some call it "Training Level 0.5," as it doesn't qualify therapists to call themselves [[💡 The IFS Practitioner|IFS Therapists]] or to be listed on the Institute's registry, but it does allow therapists to call themselves "IFS-informed."
The Circle is taught primarily by [[👤 Pamela Krause]], [[👤 Toni Herbine-Blank]], and [[👤 Richard Schwartz]].

##### My thoughts on the IFS Online Circle
I generally enjoyed it and am glad I did it.
It’s not super polished, but I have an appreciation for a lack of perfectionistic professional veneer. There are also a few times when that was kind of annoying, like a demo or two with low quality audio or video, but [[👤 Pamela Krause]] and [[👤 Toni Herbine-Blank]] are easy to love and they're excellent teachers. It's repetitive, but with each go-around I noticed there was always a little something that wasn't in the last one.
The first half is generally about the basics and flow of IFS while the second is largely tips for therapists doing IFS with clients.
You also get to see [[👤 Richard Schwartz]] work with two or three clients and it's pretty fascinating to watch because it clearly demonstrates how non-linear IFS is in practice.
The live webinar calls are helpful, but not all questions get answered because of time constraints and they try to stick with questions specific to whatever the topic of the course was that month, which makes sense.
Finishing the Circle or Level 1 is a prerequisite to joining the IFS Continuity Program, which I couldn't afford to join and have yet to revisit.
