##### Implicit Direct Access[^1]
[[💡 The IFS Practitioner]] speaks directly a client's [[💡 Parts|Parts]] without explicitly acknowledging they’re using [[💡 Direct Access|Direct Access]]. Pretty much every session begins with Implicit Direct Access. When someone asks, "How are you?" a part answers.
> "So you got angry when that happened? What were you worried would happen if you didn't get angry?"
###### When to Use Implicit Direct Access
- During the early development of the Therapeutic Relationship.
- When the client's [[💡 Parts|Parts]] need a relationship with the therapist
- When a [[💡 Parts|Part]] asks a direct question
- [[💡 Self-Leadership|Self-Led]] psycho education. I know that's what you were taught to believe, and that makes sense. I just want to let you know, that's not exactly true. I'd like to offer another way to look at this."
- To offer the possibility that things can change for the better.
