πΌ: [[π―οΈ Breathwork π¨]]
##### π¨ Voo Breath
[[On Tools, Skills, and Practices...]]
Use: [[π Self-Soothing]]
A breathwork practice borrowed from [[π‘ Somatic Experiencing]].
###### The Practice
1. Take in an easy [[π¨ Full Breath]].
2. On the exhale, make a long "voo" sound from deep in the belly. We should feel our body vibrate.
Try this for a couple of breaths and then rest. Take note of any new sensations, feelings, thoughts. Notice feeling in our hands, our feet, our body. Pay as close attention as is comfortable. Approach it from [[π‘ Presence]] -- be curious, playful, be non-judgmental. Document what we feel and what we notice and how it changes, as specifically as we can.
We can modify the Voo Breath by opening our mouth wide enough that we feel a bit of resistance before closing again. We can do this several times on the exhale.

We can modify further and practice setting up [[π―οΈ Boundaries]] by doing the above exercise while holding our hands in front of us as if gently pushing someone or something away from us. We can say "These are my boundaries. You may only come closer if I invite you in." This can help us get a feel for what it's like to set boundaries with someone
This can be combined with the [[π Shoulder Release]].
