##### ๐ Listen to your body
Our culture is constantly telling us to push through and ignore our [[โญ๏ธ Body]] and [[โญ๏ธ Emotions]], but this requires an enormous amount of [[๐ก Willpower]] and is both unsustainable and unhealthy. It creates [[๐ฏ๏ธ Generative Conflict]] and tension. A better use of the energy is to either [[Willpower to Motivation|Enjoy the process]] or work on something else.
We may not even notice what our bodies are telling us because we're in some way [[๐ก๏ธ Dissociation|Dissociated]] from them and living in our heads, lost in thought. Our bodies are wonderfully connective and sensory, and by feeling into our bodies throughout the day we can learn to listen to what theyโre telling us.

- Don't eat on a schedule, eat when you're hungry. Don't eat or stop eating when you're not hungry anymore. Many of us were made to "clean our plate" before we were allowed to be finished eating. Don't measure doneness by the plate, listen to your tummy. Either save the remainders for leftovers or let it be thrown away. This is **not** a waste of food. Our bodies are not trash cans and letting the food be thrown away helps us learn how much we actually need to eat. With time we learn to portion accurately.
- Don't set the volume in your car to a specific number, set it to what feels good to your ears.
- Don't push yourself to do your usual x number of push-ups if you're body is struggling.
- If you feel pain or discomfort while you [[๐ฏ๏ธ Movement Practices ๐]], stop and stretch or do something else.
