🔼: ###### 🔑 Positive criticism is still criticism [[🛡️ Criticizing]] is **both** the voice that tells us we’re less important than other people *and* the voice that tells us we’re better than other people. It happens when we are struggling, and it happens when we’re thriving. Criticism is often an attempt either to keep us small so we aren't wounded by outside criticism again, but it can also be a way to make us feel big by putting others beneath us so that we don't have to feel unworthy or insignificant again. What we call "Inner Critics" or "Inner Defenders" or "Inner Champions" are really all the same job. Both make us not so approachable and unknowable. Both separate us. [^1]:
