###### π Trauma disconnects us from our body
We might have some difficulty detecting sensations in different parts of our [[βοΈ Body]], and that's okay.
If we touch our arm with our hand, most of us can make the distinction between the hand feeling the arm and the arm feeling the hand, because we can put our awareness in various parts of your body. It's not unusual to find nothing in some places, whether we've experienced trauma or not.
As we practice reattuning to our body, we will develop a sensitivity to detect subtle sensations.
Can we feel the chair?
Can we feel whether our throat is relaxed or tight?
Our jaw?
Some areas might be easier than others. Difficult to detect areas are commonly related to a person's trauma. It's not uncommon to feel [[π‘ Emotional Dysregulation]] or some negative emotion or numb when we put our awareness in areas related to trauma. There's nothing wrong with us. We are normal.
Continue to practice, but [[π―οΈ Titration]] is important. Let's not judge ourselves. The fact that we're practicing at all means we're doing it right.
