#### Want To-Do List
The point of a to-do list is to be organized, to help with [[π οΈ Goals and Intentions]], to help us [[π‘ Focus & Concentration|Focus]], and to reduce our [[π‘ Cognitive Load|Cognitive Load]] β not to be a completionist.
Break down abstract or long-term tasks into fractals, milestones with places to pause, check the map, rest, reassess. Cut the goal in half, then cut it in half again. Do that goal. Or cut it down even smaller. In other words: [[π Do the next right thing]].
Get a dry-erase board calendar and write 3-4 very basic daily goals or [[Practices π―οΈ]]. Every night, last thing before going to bed, review the day and give yourself a checkmark for each goal you achieved. We are NOT trying to achieve every goal every day, weβre going to count the number of checkmarks each month and try to get more checks than the previous month.
It could look like:
1. brush your teeth.
2. do a big chore OR 3 small chores.
3. eat at home.
4. stretch for 5 minutes
When one is checked daily for 2 months, take it off the list (continue to do it) and replace it. Maybe with "walk for 15 minutes." Eventually another will almost always be checked, replace it with something new.
