# 🛠 Go-Bag A prepared bag for emergencies. ## Lightweight Go-Bag - [[Essential Items]] - Cash - Change of clothes - Water bottle - Sleeping bag - Multi-tool ## Heavyweight Go-Bag The bag you take when you escape to a safe person's home and don't plan to return. If we know who we'll be staying with already, it may be wise to keep this bag in their home. - [[Essential Items]] - Flash Drive with the latest backup of any important files. - Prepaid phone + charger + unused pay-as-you-go refill card using [a Google Voice phone number](https://www.reddit.com/r/RBNLifeSkills/wiki/googlevoicenc). Charge the phone then remove the battery so it won't drain. - Keep all the above in double zip-lock bags. - 5 days of clothes - Extra pair of shoes - $40-$50 in tens + $100-$200 or more in VISA gift cards. - 1/2 gallon of water - A day's worth of protein bars. ## Survival Kit: For when there is no easy access to food, water, or shelter. At this point we should be trying to find the police or local social services. A 3-day survival kit containing water, ration bars, basic first aid, a flashlight and a space blanket can be purchased for under $40. If we can't find one, we can make one for ourselves for about the same amount. There are also many ways to cache our Go-Bag. Google "Survival caching" to see how. ## Does it have to be a bag? Nope! Large PVC pipe can be used as a cheap, easy-to-make, portable, waterproof, lockable, and easily cashed or buried container! Google or YouTube "PVC pipe cache" or "PVC Pipe container". They can hold our supplies and a lightweight backpack. We can seal it completely with a cap on each end, though we'll need at least a knife to get into it later. Or add a screw-cap to one side, though we'll have to waterproof the cap with Teflon tape.
