If it's comfortable, sit in a chair with a straight back and feet flat on the floor. If it isn't comfortable, lay down. If sitting, gently slide the feet back and forth until we find a good, flat, comfortable connection with the ground. Engage the leg muscles to press down into the floor. Notice the sensations that arise. Sensations of your muscles working. The pleasant or neutral sensation of making firm contact with the floor 2. Much of the time when we sit we're still applying some tension to hold ourselves up. Allow the chair to take our weight. Relax into it, without holding ourself up. Let the chair do the work. Notice how it feels to be supported, having something stable to sit on, to have our feet on. What feels pleasant? Do a [[🧘 Body Scan]], note the points of contact, the points at which our [[⭐️ Body]] makes contact with the chair or bed, with the floor, with our clothing, with other parts of our body.
