> [!NOTE]- On Tools, Skills, and Practices...
> There are lots of tools, skills, and practices in the Guide. It may be tempting to try each once before moving on to another, but it’s important that we stay attuned to our capacity and not overwhelm ourselves by trying to change or do everything at once. It may be wise to try one or two, picking what we feel like we have the capacity to do or what resonates with us, and practice them every day for a week or two or three before adding something else, because it gives us time to practice, adjust, and notice any changes.
>
> These tools exist to benefit us, but different practices work better for different people at different times. If we experience [[💡 Emotional Dysregulation|emotional dysregulation]] or feel like we’re going beyond our [[💡 Window of Tolerance|Window of Tolerance]], we can stop the exercise, practice [[💡 Emotional Regulation|Emotional Regulation]], and come back to it another time. We can try various exercises with eyes open or closed to find out what works best for us on any given day. Trust your experience and intuition, [[🔑 listen to your body]] and remember [[🔑 the guide is not gospel]].
