This is a [[π§ Mindfulness Meditation]] practice which helps us notice and become more familiar with [[π‘ Trailheads|trailheads]] in our daily life.
###### The Practice
![[Before trying mindfulness]]
We allow our awareness to be naturally drawn to inner-images, inner-talk, and [[βοΈ Body|Body]] sensations β [[π‘ Trailheads|trailheads]] β and then [[π‘ Noting|Note]] and [[π‘ Labeling|Label]] them every few seconds.
- Label mental images "See" and then focus on the image for a few seconds.
- Label mental talk "Hear" and then focus on the talk for a few seconds.
- Label [[βοΈ Body|Body]] sensations "Feel" and then focus on the sensation for a few seconds.
- If there is no mental image, talk, or emotional sensation, use the label "Rest" and enjoy the rest until something arises.
- [[π‘ Noting]] and [[π‘ Labeling]] Parts: Instead of saying, βIβm sadβ experiment with saying βA Part of me is sad.β You might try [[π§ See, Hear, Feel In]], and replace the labels with βA part of me feels x.β
Do this anywhere between 5-60 minutes.
