#### ☀️ Self-Energy
The word [[⭐️ Internal Family Systems|Internal Family Systems]] assigns to [[💡 Presence#Qualities of Presence|qualities of Presence]] – the perspectives, feelings, and sensations that [[💡 Presence|Presence]] brings into relationship with [[💡 Parts|Parts]][^1] and others. Some call this "chi" or "kundalini" or "prana."[^2]
Self-energy arises spontaneously once our parts have [[🕯️ Unblending|unblended]]. [[🔑 Blending is a spectrum]], and the more our parts unblend, the more deep inner-healing is possible[^3], and we can direct that energy to our parts or other people.
##### Qualities of Self-Energy
[[⭐️ Internal Family Systems|IFS]] simplifies the makeup of Self-energy into "the 8 Cs" and "the 5 Ps." Keep in mind, they're a kind of shorthand; they help us remember what Self-energy looks and feels like, but they aren't particularly nuanced.
