###### Strengths and Weaknesses
[[The Modern World]] is under an outcome-oriented paradigm which measures a person’s value by their ability to produce and fuel the economy — exclusively by what we can do for others without much consideration for our own needs. This is a mistake which distorts our understanding of strengths and weaknesses.
| | Strengths/Gifts | Weaknesses |
| :--------------------------------------------: | :------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------: | :-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------: |
| 👎 Outcome-Orientation | The things we’re good at (competencies) | The things we’re bad at (incompetencies) |
| 🤙 [[💡 Process Mindset\|Process-Orientation]] | The things that evoke [[Flow State\|flow states]], interest, an inner-pull, resonance, [[⭐ Values\|⭐ Value]], aliveness, joy, and energy, even if we're bad at them. | The things that drain or deplete us or require [[💡 Willpower\|willpower]] and lead to [[💡 Burnout\|burnout]], even if we're good at them. |
- [[🔑 Other people can help us see ourselves]].
- There is nonetheless a lot of value in having abilities we feel secure in, even if they’re simple or not economically leveraged
- We don’t have to follow all resonance. Commitment has its value.
- And of course we’re always going to need [[⭐️ Rest and Restoration]]. It doesn’t mean never needing rest or having unlimited capacity. [[🔑 Act from capacity]] or we’ll experience [[💡 Burnout|Burnout]]. You can do too much of a good thing. [[🔑 Go at your pace]]. (This is a needle to thread). They still require energy to do, even our favorite things. We get overstimulated, over-full. Muscle is built during rest.
- [[🔑 We can’t do everything]]
