##### Invitation
Step 4 or 5 in [[π‘ The IFS Process]]
Previous Step: [[π‘ Unburdening]]
When a part is [[π‘ Burdens πͺ¨|burdened]], often some of their qualities are pushed out of their body.[^1] After [[π‘ Unburdening|unburdening]], there remains an open space to which the burden can reattach[^2], and [[π Itβs possible for burdens to return]],.
So, invite the part to reclaim qualities of their choosing to fill the empty space the [[π‘ Burdens πͺ¨|burden]] left behind. Encourage them to reclaim their wholeness[^1] and invite any qualities they might need or want as they go forward.[^2] It can be anything they want to feel or embody, like love, courage, playfulness β whatever feels right to them.
If they can't think of anything, that's okay. This step isnβt always necessary β sometimes nothing was ever lost.
%%Ask what they would have done if they weren't so burdened or wounded. This can be emotional.[^1]%%
###### Next Step
[[π‘ Retrieval]] (if they wanted their [[π‘ Unburdening]] to happen first) or [[π‘ Integrate a Part]]
