🔼: [[🗺️ Roadmap]] ##### 2022-06-20.Mo Update Previous Update: [[🪡 2022-06-03.Fr Update]] Following Update: [[🪡 2022-07-01.Fr Update]] ![[On Updates...]] ###### General This update brings some major changes and affects nearly 600 pages. ###### 💡 Terms With over 400 entries the "💡Terms" subfolder wasn’t all that useful and I’m experimenting with ways to change that. This is attempt #1. The folder now has several subfolders that serve as a kind of index. Many new notes have been added to some of those subfolders, but they're largely foundational placeholders to be worked on later which is why they aren't listed here. Of course, folders are not the ideal way to navigate the guide, but I thought these subfolders would make it easier to find an entry point. The folder structure is far from perfect — trial and error! ###### Search problems The guide’s search bar prioritizes folder titles over note titles, which is…not great. For instance, if you search for “Meditation” the first result you’ll get are notes from the “🧘‍♂️ Meditations” folder rather than the ”⭐️ Meditation” note itself. With all these new subfolders in the "💡Terms" folder, search will likely be kind of a mess. Search is ***supposed*** to prioritize note titles over folder titles. I’ve let the Obsidian devs know about this and was told it will be fixed in the next rollout of changes. ###### 📖 Resources The “🛠 Resource Library” is being phased out in favor of something more dynamic and useful, but it has one drawback. Every resource now has its own note (stored in the "30 Resources" folder) which is linked to every topic I thought might be relevant to it. This allows resources to self-organize in the "LINKS TO THIS PAGE" section at the bottom of every page. Mentioning a resource does **not** mean I've gone through it or recommend it — this just lets me find them easily when I want them. I publish those notes in case someone else is interested and prioritizing a different area of their own recovery. Some resources now have a status-emoji in their title: ✅ = Integrated 🔴 = Shelved 🟠 = To-Do 🟡 = In Rotation 🟢 = Finished If a resource doesn’t have one, it’s not a priority at the moment but might be some day. It’ll make sense when you see it. The drawback is no longer having a master-list of topics with relevant resources below them without the “🛠 Resource Library,” but with an ever-growing list of over 200 resources (and most of them being relevant to several topics in the guide) it was already difficult and cumbersome to maintain — it was just too much admin and it was becoming stressful.
